- SATISH CHOPRA
- I was born in Amritsar, on 14th of Feb 1955 and studied in Delhi. I was very creative since my childhood. I started acting in plays right from the age of 10. I gradutaed from SALWAN college in 1976. In 1976-77, i have been approved by Delhi Doordarshan as an artist. I worked in many plays like 'Aakhri Raat, Koi Keh Raha Tha & Educational play 'Birbal Ki Khichadi etc, under the most respected Director Mr. Yog Raj Tondon, incharge of drama department in Delhi Doordarshan. We tried to conveyed some good maseges to the society through our plays. In 2006, we formed a Cultural society named 'Sopaan'. We did our very 1st show under the banner of Sopaan, was a play 'Rakhtbeej' penned by Dr. Shankar Shesh, in Sri Ram Centre Delhi on 30th Jan 2007. This play was about the conflict between a man's inner good & evil selves " Aadmi ki Antaraatma ki Jado-Jehad." It was a social play which reflects the reasons for "Hatya,Atamhatya aur Uske kaaran." In Rakthbeej, charector of "Bada purush" was played by me. Few days ago i conceived a new idea about doing postmortem of news affecting all of us.
